The Challenges of Living a Bush Lifestyle.

Ideally when a vehicle breaks at the homestead, which is beyond the road system, we purchase it during the winter, haul it into Eagle asap the road opens and drive it over the ice in the springtime. This time it was a major problem. The Polaris Ranger 800 our hardest working vehicle suddenly died…beyond revival. While I made a long drive to Delta to Delta Power Sports to return the next day with a new Polaris Ranger 900…Wayne and Greg stayed behind and built a platform between these 2 pontoons. Thanks to Steve, Kristy and Frank Robbins for the help and the loan of the pontoons. This picture is where it is being put into the water with the hopes that there were no leaks and it would float.

Here Wayne is inching the Ranger carefully onto the platform. Fingers are crossed.

It is a close fit.

Raft tied to the boat and ready to launch.

The raft was nose heavy so Scarlett and Greg acted as ballast on the rear while Wayne drove the boat.

Home safe and sound.
